About me

Andreas NetzmannMy name is Andreas Netzmann,
I was born on August 21st 1976 in Merseburg (Sachsen-Anhalt) which belonged to former East Germany.

After graduating from high-school (Abitur, 1996, Ignaz-Kögler-Gymnasium, Landsberg am Lech), I studied computer science at the Technische Universität München (TUM) and Fachhochschule München (university of applied science, FHM). I finished my studies with the degree Diplom Informatiker in February 2004.

From August 2001 until March 2004 I was working in a student job for BMW in Munich. I was involved in J2EE client server software projects and wrote my diploma thesis about Software Quality Assurance using object oriented software metrics and tools to test code quality during the development process.

In July of 2004 I started working as a System Developer for PEPPERMIND Digital Business Design, the new media unit of the Munich based communication and design agency KOCHAN & PARTNER. My job was to develop online shop and customer self-care web applications as well as controlling and backoffice tools for eCommerce portals.

In February of 2007 I joined the Munich based jambit Software Development & Management GmbH, where I was employed as a Senior Software Architect. From August 2007 until June 2010 I was working on a project for BMW at the infotainment and communication department, developing PIM (personal information management) features in cars via Bluetooth. Since July 2010 I was working on a project for BMW developing iPhone applications (Applications for Automotive, A4A) to bring new infotainment functions into BMW and MINI brand cars. As of June 2011 I left jambit and am now working as a BMW employee the developing the BMW App Integration SDK.

Most of the time left after work is done, I spent with my family and try to keep up with all of my interests, especially photography. Unfortunately there is decreasingly time left to improve my photographing skills.
